After studying Computer Science, Computer Graphics and Data Visualisation in Prague and Brno, Czech Republic, I am now working on my PhD in bioinformatics and data visualisation methods for the joint analysis of genomic and mass spectrometry-based proteomic data sets. I have developed a software pipeline for the generation of protein sequence databases from large panels of phased genotypes, allowing researchers to account for diversity and alleviating biases against populations not well represented by reference sequences. I am in the process of publishing a web-based interface where one can browse peptide identifications from public mass spectrometry data sets mapped to their corresponding genes, haplotypes, and spliced transcripts. This spring and summer, I am conducting an internship at the Purcell laboratory with Monash University in Melbourne.
