Abner J Gonzalez Castro
Born in Puerto Rico and completed my undergraduate studies in Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. Joined Yuh Min Chook's lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center to complete my PhD in Biophysics. After completing my PhD, I joined Anju Sreelatha's lab for a short Postdoc where I studied and developed an enrichment and recognition system for studying the understudied postranslational modification, AMPylation. Starting on January 2025 I will be working on James Murphy's lab for completing my postdoctoral training.
